Our Community Wellbeing service provides a variety of group activities in the community, as well as supporting people on an individual basis if required.  We support those who are at risk of mental illness, are subject to social isolation and those that need support to live independently in the Community.

We aim to increase self-confidence and a sense of independence for those that use our service, along with encouraging resilience and promote recovery as people move towards independence.

What we offer:

Our Community Wellbeing Service offers a range of support within our local community for people living with mental illness.  We offer support Groups that provide a safe and welcoming environment for people, where they can learn new skills or develop friendships and support with peers.

One-to-One Support

Our Wellbeing Service offers One-to-One support sessions for those that prefer direct support.  The number of sessions is tailored to your goal, with a maximum of 8 sessions; each session is approximately 45 minutes long.

We use a person-centred approach in identifying your goals and how we can work together to achieve them.  We monitor your achievements along the way and regularly discuss with you any additional support needs you may have.

This support can be offered in the community, over the telephone, or even via a video call.  It’s ideal for people that are short on time or prefer more direct support.

Our Groups

Our mainstay groups include our Coffee mornings, and Drop-in support, allowing for people to meet and discuss issues or simply get some information and guidance from staff.  Our Art Group provides creative respite as well as peer support across the sessions.

The sessions you provide have helped me to manage my mental health better than ever.

Walking Group

With such a beautiful landscape on our doorstep, our popular Walking group is twice weekly where people can walk and talk while making new friends.

Going on the walking group has lifted my mood.

Wonderful time in walking group. The group is helpful for overall health.

Living Life to the Full

One of our licensed courses is the Living Life to the Full programme.  This can be delivered in small groups in person or online.  It provides a space for people to share experiences and thoughts on how to manage their mental health, for instance, a mood journal, or recognising how we can develop our decision making to be positive and meaningful to ourselves.

Living Life to the Full has made me realise why I kept making the same mistakes.  I hope to change the way I do things in the future.
